Summary: The room has been refurbished and looked okay, however there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and when I asked about a kettle I was told there was a kitchen near to our room with a fridge and microwave, I checked and it was marked staff only and didn’t have a kettle any way. The room was very noisy all night with music and noise from the pub and people coming and going to the small hours. There was a cigarette disposal unit right in front of our window where people gather to smoke and extinguish cigarettes. One of the single beds prevented closure of the bathroom door. No hot water available when I wanted to take a shower or to the sink. We left to find somewhere to get a coffee and breakfast and then went back to the pub, We went to go inside to report the problems and a young girl stood out front telling us they didn’t open until 11am,we said that we were going to check out as it was very noisy and there were no facilities or hot water, her answer was Again…and then no problem, to which I replied it is a problem but she wasn’t interested and carried on texting on her phone. To call the place a Hotel is a complete stretch of the imagination as hotels belong to the hospitality industry and we had none, it is not even a B&B. Just rented rooms. The owners need to look at it with fresh eyes to see what is needed when guests stay! Refurbishing rooms alone does not make it a Hotel/ place to stay.
