Our recommendations are: Bar - 'The Finnieston' is a local gin bar that also serves great seafood. Restaurant - 'Porter & Rye' is a great place to get a top quality piece of cooked meat. Others - 'The SSE Hydro' is minutes away and is quickly becoming one of Scotland's premier music venues. For food shopping there is a Nisa Local convenience store at 70 Lancefield Quay and a Sainsburys Local at 32 Anderston Quay (a 2 minute walk away).
Getting Around:
The flat is a few minutes from Buchanan Street and George Square with it's many speciality shops and restaurants. For those who like some green space the Festival Park is a 11-min walk away. Similarly, the SSE Hydro and SECC are a 10-min walk from the apartment. Glasgow has an excellent transport system with frequent buses and subways to most locations. You can also make use of the affordable taxis and Uber, particularly if you are carrying heavy bags.
