A similar distance north, Parcevall Hall has a renowned plantsman’s garden that rises up a hillside and offers wonderful views in every direction. En route, the village of Appletreewick (2.5 miles) is full of charm and has two welcoming inns. Less than 7 miles away, Grassington is home to the National Park Visitor Centre and offers a fine choice of shops, eateries and a regular farmers’ market.
