For a coastal experience, Alnmouth Beach (13 miles) is a gorgeous sandy stretch with a friendly village nearby to stop off to explore the shops, cafes and restaurants. Alternatively, head to Alnwick (8.5 miles) to see the grand castle where many famous films have been filmed, and explore the landscaped gardens.
Situated on the ground floor, the living room is a cosy and welcoming space, with a wood-burning stove for winter warmth set into a large inglenook fireplace, comfortable two and three-seater sofas, and rustic oak beams across the ceiling. There is also a dining table in the living space to serve up meals prepared in the kitchen. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the first a tasteful double with a sloping ceiling and ample storage, and the second a single, perfect for a child. The bathroom completes the property, featuring both a bath and a shower cubicle.
