Those with an interest in history will delight at the easy access, via a private path, to Hadrian's Wall, tread in the footsteps of the soldiers until you reach one of the many forts where you can explore the archaeological digs and visit the museums to learn about a bygone era. Close by you will also find Lanercost Priory, the old ruins are waiting to be discovered, or simply relax and enjoy brunch in the café. The Lake District Airport is a few minutes drive away, as is the Solway Aviation Museum which is a great day out for young and old who have an interest in flying. Surrounded by farm land means wildlife can regularly be spotted including deer, foxes and pheasants as well as the more domesticated farm animals of sheep and cows.

There are 2 bedrooms each with a TV, a double and a bunk bedroom with adult size bunk beds. Bathroom with a shower over bath and hand basin.
All electric, bed linen and towels provided. Two well behaved dogs welcome. Cot and highchair available on request. Private parking for 1 car and others by arrangement. Private patio area with dining furniture and BBQ. Shared drying room with washing machines, tumble driers, freezer and space to dry walking gear and storage for bikes.
