The White House was built in the 1920s and exudes period character and charm, with mahogany panelling and doors, there are panoramic views of St Mawes Harbour and bay and across to Pendennis Castle, Summers Beach is a short, 50m, walk down the hill, which is a wonderful spot for paddle boarding, kayaking or swimming. The accommodation itself comprises 2 reception rooms, all with superb views, 5 bedrooms including a bunk bed that is a favourite with younger children, and there are gardens that spread over nearly an acre which ensures plenty of space for children to explore or adults can hide. The White House is dog-friendly and welcomes a maximum of 2 dogs at a small extra charge.

(Fraggle Rock for everyone of a certain age!) The artists' haven of Portscatho is well worth a visit, as is Veryan. with its famous round houses.
