Summary: Hotel is in great location. Room was fine, clean and functional. Pillows were awful though, really thin and flimsy, had to use throw cushions behind them. Breakfast was average. I last stayed here about 8 years ago and remember breakfast being standout but this was not the same high standard. Car park / steps to hotel were frozen over from the moment I arrived due to wintry weather but it took about 24 hrs for them to put any grit down (during which time it snowed again and froze over again so was particularly slippery) - even when they did grit it was in odd places so trying to get to your car was very dicey!
