‘Taffs Mead House’ is a lovely modernised victorian home with character and style in Cardiff City Centre.

Hosting up to 4 guests in two double bedrooms, Taff's Mead House is a great place to stay whether you’re on holiday and keen to explore the area, or if you need a great place to work from.

Our Space

Taffs Mead House is perfect for meeting up with friends and family, visiting Cardiff for an event, or if you are in need of a change of scenery when working from home.

We’re also family friendly and cycling friendly! (See notes below for more details).

The house is situated next to to Cardiff’s famous River Taff and conveniently located for Cardiff City Centre, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff Castle, Principality Stadium, The Taff Trail and many other attractions. (Walking times are listed below).

Our home is unique and is full of character mixing both modern and contemporary styling with a scandi influence. You will have use of the entire house during your stay.

The house boasts a large open living room with comfy sofa and armchairs creating space to relax. The living room is also equipped with desk should you need to work or study, and a 40 inch TV connected to on demand TV services like Netflix.

On the ground floor you’ll also find our modern kitchen and separate dining room area. The kitchen includes both cooking and laundry facilities great for those choosing to stay for longer periods with us.

On the first floor we have two double bedrooms (as pictured) and a spacious family bathroom. Our master bedroom is styled with a king size four poster bed, whilst bedroom two is fitted with a comfortable double bed. Our third bedroom can be set up as a single room or a twin room depending on guests preference. The family bathroom is complete with both a walk in shower with and a large freestanding bath.

Our guests are free to use our visitor parking permit which allows free parking in permit only parking spaces on our street. The road also offers limited free parking spaces which do not require a permit. Between permit parking and free parking guests can usually find a parking space near Taffs Mead House.

Family Friendly:
If requested we can provide a newborn cot, or travel cot, kids plates and cutlery and a high chair. We know what it’s like travelling with kids!

Cycling Friendly:
We’re so close to the Taff Trail and many other on road and off road cycling routes. We’re also cyclists ourselves.
Taffs Mead House has space to store 2 bikes safely inside the house. We also have a hosepipe in the back garden for cleaning your bike after a run. Please let us know if you’re bringing bikes.
