The Sunday School is a beautiful conversion of an old chapel, nestled in the centre of the beautiful riverside village of Dittisham, on the west bank of the River Dart.
The property has been extensively renovated to a high standard and provides a home full of style and character. Situated on a hillside called 'The Level' with breathtaking views across the village and the river and bordered by stunning South Devon countryside in the heart of South Devon's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Sunday School is the perfect bolthole if you are looking for a quiet spot.
On the ground floor is the master bedroom with a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. Across the hallway is the second bedroom with bunk bed, pull-out bed and single chair bed, the bedroom is only suitable for children under 16 years old, and the family bathroom. The utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer, and is accessed via the bathroom. On the first floor is the stunning open plan living space, with arched beamed ceilings, skylights and a Juliet balcony with views of the river. The living area is spacious with a feature wood burner, corner sofa, armchairs and a Smart TV with Freeview. The sleek kitchen is equipped with all the key appliances. After a fun-filled day exploring Devon, gather friends and family around the dining table for a home cooked meal. The cosy third bedroom adjoins the living space and has a kingsize bed (please note it is only accessed from the foot of the bed), dressing table and Patio doors opening out into the back garden.
Relax outside in the pretty terraced garden to the rear of the property on the sun loungers or the outdoor dining set, with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down with partial views of the River Dart in the distance.
Dittisham is a picturesque Devon village in the South Hams, with charming cottages lining the narrow streets, situated on the west bank of the River Dart. Right on the Dittisham quayside is a popular inn and café, both serving local produce with picturesque river views and just a couple of minutes' walk from the property. The village also has a medieval church, popular sailing club, an open green space with swings and lots of room to have a picnic, plus there is also a village shop and Post Office operating within the Red Lion Inn at the top of the village.
Dittisham is within close proximity to Dartmouth, Totnes and Salcombe, so you needn't venture too far to explore the coast and countryside of South Devon. A passenger ferry service links the village to the Greenway National Trust Property where Agatha Christie once lived and the port of Dartmouth where there is a range of galleries, shops, restaurants and marina facilities. Within a short drive are the beautiful sandy beaches of Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, the iconic South West Coast Path and the Dart Valley Trail. The Sunday School is truly a superb property to call home whilst holidaying in the South Hams area of Devon.

Guests should be aware that house has a number of steps over the two floors, five steps from the parking area to the front door and eleven steps in the tiered garden accessed from bedroom 3. There is also a steep external set of steps leading from the garden to the parking area.
