Summary: As others have said, they're is no staff to check guests in. There is a phone in the entrance to call. We were given the door code and our room key was in our allocated room. Stanley house is a relatively good medium sized property. However the rooms are very small. They are en suite at least. Our room came with a remote control that did not control the room TV. The TV in the living room did not have a working TV aerial point either. WiFi worked well and the large kitchen comes with self catering utensils to use. Cereals were also available in the larder. We had to call staff to advise the supplied milk had expired by several days. They came within minutes with a bottle of milk. Cleanliness was impressive, there were two lounges guests can use on the ground floor. Just be prepared to sink down into the sofa's which have VERY soft cushion seats. Beautiful gardens in the back and in the front one can see the tourist train going past. We would stay here again and happy to recommend
