Summary: Whilst we enjoyed our stay we found a few things a bit disappointing. Firstly the neighbours to the RHS had blocked off any access to park next to the caravan, owing to parking one of their two cars in front of the rental caravan lengthways. They had also let their dog deposit on the lawn in several places outside, which with two young and excited children was a nightmare to try to avoid, and was obviously not the best of first impressions. The tv didn’t work, as the batteries in the remote had corroded and the back of the remote control appeared to be missing, which made the battery contact difficult, when the matter was resolved (after we reported it). A few basic home essentials would have been nice such as a bar of soap to wash your hands with upon arrival, the remnants of some washing up liquid to get you started and even a pack of playing cards. The steps leading to the caravan were really rickety and quite dangerous to negotiate in the dark and with no light, especially more so with the door opening out to them. I do not believe that they are suitable for disabled people, which I think should be pointed out to future hirers. The third bedroom had two mattresses stacked on top of each other as ‘the bed’, luckily we didn’t use this room but if we had I wouldn’t have been happy with either of my children or a family member sleeping on that, as there was no support. The door to the first twin was so stiff to open I had initially thought it was locked, we never closed this door throughout our stay as I was worried my children would get stuck in that bedroom. The sofa was very stained, missing several buttons and wasn’t the most comfortable to sit on, but we only stayed two nights and used the caravan as a base for the evenings. The area was nice and the proximity to Great Yarmouth was good.
