Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The cottage looked nice, nicely decorated etc. Clean and well equipped. The bathroom was warm and the bath a good size for a soak. The dining area has a big table for eating meals at. There is a TV on the living room wall oppostie a sofa but the other sofa wasn't in a good position to watch it. There was a view of one of the bays from the bathroom window which was nice.

Negative: There is no dishwasher. The kitchen sink is very small and the tap got in the way of the draining rack. Also the hot water for the bath was from a tank and ran cold fairly quickly. We couldn't find the washing machine and I messaged but noone responded. We eventually realised it was in an outhouse outside, down some stone steps. Not ideal in winter in the dark. The cottage is in a shady area of Scarborough and off a very steep hill. I live here so I knew what to expect. It wouldn't put me off but it is something to consider if you have to walk around late at night.
