Richborough Manor is a spectacular 16th Century country manor house situated in the heart of the Kent countryside, where views are far reaching and sheep graze peacefully under the large open skies. The house is truly amazing, and every detail has been considered to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as it can be. Every piece of furniture tells a story, from the fabulous chandeliers, beautiful artwork, four poster beds, gilt mirrors, luxuriously upholstered furniture, antique furniture, roll top baths and so much more…… The house itself has been sumptuously decorated by the owner who is an interior designer, adding luxurious contemporary touches whilst retaining many original features. There are two sitting rooms, one with a wood burning stove and the other with an electric wood burner, a large kitchen/breakfast room, a dining room and various utility rooms. The well-equipped kitchen is a chefs dream where an AGA cooker makes light work of catering for large groups, and there's plenty of space for enjoying meals in the formal fourteen seater dining room. With six bedrooms, four bath/shower rooms and a further WC downstairs there is ample accommodation for celebratory escapes or multi-generational stays, and with unlimited WiFi and multiple Smart TVs, everyone will be happily entertained. The manor house stands in one acre of beautiful, landscaped gardens, with mature trees and shrubs, flowering plants and a reed filled pond. Seating has been cleverly positioned from the large dining table and benches in the sunniest spot, to the decked hot tub area, the sofas and firepit to watch the setting sun, to the benches under trees for peaceful shade. The garden is a wonderful place to sit and watch children play, or enjoy outdoor meals and sunset drinks with friends. It is also dog-friendly and there is plenty of space for them to run around. Richborough Manor is in a secluded location 3 miles from the historic Cinque Ports town of Sandwich. The house is the perfect holiday home for families and friends. Families with children can enjoy the Whitemills Wake and Aqua Park and Betteshanger Park, history buffs have many English Heritage castles and forts to explore, and golfers are spoilt for choice with championship golf courses a few miles away. Further afield, the lovely Georgian town of Deal is just 20 minutes away and well worth a visit.
