Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The house is beautiful, and is in a quiet residential area. The bedrooms are all spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The ground floor WC is very useful to save going to floor one to the en-suite or top floor for the family bathroom. The open living room and kitchen was perfect for remaining sociable while I was cooking our Christmas dinner. The property is light and welcoming, and decorated to a high standard, with lovely touches to make it feel homely. The outdoor area at the back would be lovely to sit in on a warm summer's evening, with the festoon lights adding to the warm and welcoming feeling. There are two parking spaces available, one immediately outside the house, and the other is just a few a spaces away, around the corner. The host is very responsive and helpful and happy to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. It was a home away from home, and even my 17 year old son said he would happily live here!

Negative: We were very happy with the property; the only thing for me to mention is there is no dining table and chairs as such. The dining area is along the bar part of the kitchen, with three stools and a high chair available. However, I knew this was the case, so this is not a criticism, as I had previously messaged the host to ask about this, among other queries, and they were always honest and very prompt to answer my silly questions. This meant I was able to bring a foldaway table and chairs for us to use. I'm sure, in most cases, the bar-style dining is fine; I only needed 'formal' dining as it was our Christmas Day dinner. 🙂

Summary: Lovely property in a quiet area. Perfect for a short family getaway.
