Summary: We stayed at the lodge for a week in September with my elderly parents. The lodge is warm, comfortable, spacious and very close to the central facilities. The site has brilliant facilities, the food in the bar restaurant is good value. The train station is a bit of a downhill walk so not easy for people with mobility difficulties. There isn't a bus service so you will need a car, bike or walking shoes if you want to explore off site. The nature and wildlife is nice to see, the peace and quiet is so relaxing.
