Positive: The house was easy to find. We arrived at 8.30 pm and had a friendly greeting by Mark who showed us our rooms and took our breakfast order. He was very helpful, particularly given that we needed an early breakfast. The rooms were immaculately clean. There was a hairdryer, TV and there was even a fan due to the recent hot weather. There were tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits and what made it even more perfect was that there were actually chocolates as well. The bathroom was supplied with everything you needed with a good shower. Breakfast was on time, and perfectly cooked, together with a choice of ceriels and plenty of toast with tea/coffee and juice. I don't give praise unless I'm really happy, but I couldn't fault our stay with Mark at Merton House. We only stayed one night as we were travelling for my son's graduation in Brighton, but I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay and I would certainly go back again if we were in the area.

Negative: For once I could actually not suggest anything I didn't like!
