Summary: Goods - room was lovely - comfy bed, clean and tidy. Bads - food was good in parts, but quite bad in parts too (our Milanese chicken was quite tough, and our breakfast was average at best [poached egg tasted of vinegar, beans were watery etc]). We opted to eat somewhere in Marlow for the second evening. We had booked two nights in separate bookings (one on work, one leisure), but after a short time in reception, they were able to put us in the same room for both nights (we had to upgrade, but that was understandable). BUT, at around 12pm on day two, one of the staff knocked and burst into the room while my wife was sleeping, and told her off for checking out too late?! When challenged, he was quite defensive, then a little apologetic. Being honest, it seemed the hotel was struggling to hold things together. We'd wanted to visit this hotel for quite some time, but we won't be going back.
