Lower Hawkstones Farm is a 18th century farmhouse and barn conversion set high on the Pennines.
It’s wild and windy and we can get snow in the winter.
There are fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and spectacular walks through woodland into the valley, or open moorland to the rear of the property.
We have no public transport as the nearest bus stop is 1.5 miles away so own transport is recommended.
There are lots of interesting places to eat within 15 mins by car is close to the historic towns of Hebden Bridge and Todmorden.
The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 king sized one of which is en-suite, 1 twin and 1 single. The living room and kitchen both have cozy log fires and there is a separate dining room. Guests also have use of a conservatory and patio area. There is shared off-road parking in the farm yard

Summary: I booked three nights and the one whole day we were in the area was for my nephew's wedding. However, the property was spotlessly clean and comfortable and catered well for me, my husband, grown up family and two Springer spaniels.
