Positive: As a small group of four, we were looking for some peace and quiet for a one-night catch-up. Firstly, the setting is truly beautiful. Alongside the usual cows and sheep, there were horses running free in the next field. The wildflowers dotted along the cottage borders made the setting look like a picture postcard. Safe to say, we were totally taken aback by the beauty of the place. This impression was only strengthened when we checked into the cottage. Chris had gone above and beyond with the welcome pack—in fact, we would have been fine just using what was provided, as there was so much. The quality of the cottage is outstanding. Every nook and cranny has been carefully restored, and it was spotlessly clean. The bedding was exceptional—I personally felt like I was cocooned in cotton wool! There were plenty of shower products to use, and the showers were, again, of the highest quality. We had a quick visit from Chris, which was very nice—it was lovely to meet him. Hopefully, we’ll be able to return again and again as Jackdaw cottage completely blew us away!
