The well equipped kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine so you’ll be able to make yourself right at home when staying at Ocean House.
Ocean House boasts nine bedrooms, each with an ensuite shower room. The property boasts eight double bedrooms and one single bedroom. An additional double sofa bed can also be made up in the living room, increasing the total occupancy to 19.

For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

The Neighborhood:
Ocean House is located in the coastal town of South Shields on the south bank of the River Tyne. Sandhaven Beach was recently named as one of the North East’s top beaches and with beautiful stretches of golden sands and sand dunes, it’s easy to see why. Great for family days out, your breath will be taken away at Sandhaven Beach.
If it’s a short walk you’re after, then why not take a stroll along the stunning coastal route known as ‘The Leas’. Also great for cycling, running and dog walking, this route has something for everyone.
The cities of Newcastle and Sunderland are also both within short driving distance from South Shields. In both, you’ll find an abundance of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars so guests will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds during their stay in South Shields.
Getting Around:
South Shields is on the Tyne & Wear Metro system so you’ll have direct rail access into Newcastle, Gateshead, Whitley Bay and Tynemouth. A number of connecting rail routes can be found from these stations so getting to other locations around the UK could not be easier.
Hop on the ferry across the River Tyne and you’ll be in North Shields.
The 27 bus route runs from South Shields into the centre of Newcastle with stops in Hebburn and Gateshead.
