Positive: The hot tub made the stay for sure! Lovely and peaceful to sit out at night and not be overlooked and look up at the starry sky! Lovely open plan kitchen/diner/living room and plenty of space in the garden for the dog. The bed was comfortable enough and so was the sofa. We did a lot of driving/exploring so location wasn’t too bad, handy to have co-op and Chinese close by! A lovely and warm property with ample heating!

Negative: Unfortunately the reviews are true and that the property was pretty dirty. I was concerned about this before coming but was hoping it would have improved with a number of negative reviews. It hasn’t had a proper clean in a VERY long time which is obvious with the amount of dust, dirt, dead insects in some areas. There was a large pile of bin bags in the back garden some of which that were open - not ideal for the dog being able to access old food. A more secure place like a bin store or bin would be better, for both aesthetic as not the most pleasant thing to see when pulling up, and for safety. Upon arriving my husband had to clean the bathroom, particularly the black mould from the shower cubicle whilst I had to clean the window/doors and Lindt roller the bedding as there was lots of hairs and fluff on them :( I also wouldn’t consider the property fully securely enclosed either, we have a rather big dog and he could very easily see over the wall in to next doors garden and their dog, luckily he is well behaved but other dogs might chance jumping over! The gates aren’t super secure at the front of the property either as one morning it was blown open due to the wind (again luckily we were fine but something to be made aware of if staying with pets). It’s a shame because the property has so much potential, could just do with some TLC to make it a better stay/experience.

Summary: Overall a little disappointing but the hot tub was brilliant and made the stay!
