The North York Moors railway can take you from Pickering to Goathland and Whitby, or you can venture by car to Helmsley and York in around an hour. Castles, waterfalls, beaches, forests, market towns, nature, history...this area has it all. An abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna, and superb landscapes also make it ideal for artists and photographers. Shop and restaurant 5 miles, pub 5 miles.
