Anchor Cottage is situated in the little village of Millbrook on the Rame Peninsular. It is about 1 mile from Kingsand/Cawsand and Mount Edgcumbe and a great place to stay if attending weddings at Polhawn Fort being 3 miles away. Local amenities are within walking distance including a well stocked minimart co-op, newsagents, organic grocers, chemist, takeaway restaurants and pubs.

The television in the lounge does have Netflix however due to the WiFi connection not being fibre, it will cause buffering on occasions. Because of this we don’t advertise this as an extra.
Please be aware that we cannot accept pets. We have to acknowledge that some guests have allergies against pet hair and although the property is throughly cleaned, we would not be able to guarantee that every hair would be removed if we accommodated them, so please be aware of this.
A welcoming cream tea is provided for you to enjoy and will be found in the fridge.
The property comes to you as a complete private property so the space is yours to savour. This includes two bedrooms, a separate bathroom which includes a large shower, toilet and basin, a fully equipped kitchen with washer, dryer, fridge, freezer and dishwasher and a lounge that has games and boom box and a wood burner.
There is no private parking however there is free on road parking just outside the house and also up New Street. There is also a free car park slightly further up the main road where the chemist is. There is also parking bays that provide free parking in the evenings and on Sunday’s along the main road of Millbrook.
Anchor Cottage is a popular place to stay for visitors who are attending weddings at Polhawn Fort as it is only 3 miles away which is about a 10 minute drive. It is also suitable for guests attending the Cow Shed venue. There is also a private taxi firm just outside the property who can drop you off and pick you up to the venue if you decide to let your hair down. Just book in advance. Business cards are at the property.
Anchor Cottage is also ideal for visitors attending any events at HMS Raleigh and is a short river ferry crossing to Plymouth.
The cottage is actually within walking distance to Kingsand/Cawsand and their beaches, with breathtaking views over the Plymouth Sound but could be challenging. Please just check first.
The Eden Project is an hour away and well worth a days visit.
There is something for everyone and leaflets for most activities are available at the property and most local shops but please just check dates as certain times throughout the year, some attractions could be closed.
