The church opened in August 1881, held services until 1973 and has been carefully brought back to life. The original timber floors, tall sash windows and vaulted ceiling are all still here, now painted white, so the whole place glows on a sunny day and feels calm on a grey one.
It is one open room, about 9.5 m by 5.5 m, set up for two adults: a queen bed under the far window, a leather couch and TV around the rug, a dining table for two and a wardrobe. A heat pump warms the whole space quickly (give it half an hour on a cold night) and keeps it cool in summer.
