Welcome to my charming home! Located in Shoreditch, only a minute away from Old Spitalfields Market, and with the luxury of a private terrace and outdoor seating, my home really is a gem. It is a grade 2 listed building with original period features. It is just a 10 minute walk to the closest stations, Liverpool Street underground and Shoreditch High Street overground, so exploring the adventures of London is easy and simple. I hope you enjoy your stay! ## Space This is a grade two listed building, dating to the 18th century, of special historical interest. It was a Hugenot silk weaver’s atelier and is one of only a handful of such buildings in London. It has been sensitively restored to retain as many period features as possible. The living area is open plan, with a quirky design and sleek wooden floors. There is a dining table seating 4 on raised flooring. Walk down 3 steps into the kitchen area, fully equipped, with all the essentials and mod cons you need to whip up a meal. Next door is my beautiful living room, filled with natural light from large windows. High ceilings and soft colours make this a relaxing and welcoming space. Kick back on the sofa or one of the two armchairs and chill out with friends. Enjoy my lovely decorative fireplace and light blue furnishings, adding a tranquil element to this wonderful space. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super comfy double bed and plenty of storage space, so unpack and make yourself at home straight away. The second bedroom has another beautiful decorative fireplace and two large windows, filling the room with natural light. The third bedroom is really cosy, with a single bed tucked in the corner with a curtain for privacy and a great night’s sleep! The beds are fitted with fresh, luxury linens. Take a relaxing soak in the tub in one of the bathrooms! Fresh white tiles and walls make this the perfect space to unwind and replenish yourself. Open up a blue door and find yourself on my gorgeous private balcony! Fluffy white towels will be provided. This outdoor space has wooden decking and a table for two, perfect for a romantic night in or spending quality time with a friend. Crack open a bottle of wine and soak up some summer rays. The second bathroom has a fantastic stand-alone bath tub, so indulge and give yourself some well need TLC! The neighbourhood is full of colourful street art and bustling food markets, and there is always one pop up or another (if you’re visiting in the summer, Last Days of Shoreditch puts on a great urban beach and bar) as well as the regular great spots. Great Eastern Street is constantly filling up with new restaurants and cafes and Rivington Street is a safe bet for trendy shops and bars. For a shabby-chic pub, the Commercial Tavern is a great spot and as eccentric as you might expect from its location. Those in the know, head to St. John Bread and Wine for classic ‘nose-to-tail’ dining and a buzzy atmosphere. Check out Nightjar for a funky jazz night in a basement speakeasy, serving imaginative cocktails in all sorts of interesting drinking vessels (pewter owl pitchers and ceramic flasks are just a couple of examples). As is inevitable in a city like London, Shoreditch is always changing - but that’s what makes it so exciting! ## Transit Liverpool Street underground station is just a 10 minute walk away, and so is Shoreditch High street overground! There are plenty of buses to take you all around London. ## Notes While these original features make for a unique and wonderful experience, guests should be aware that it has original wooden flooring and stairway. Floorboards are uneven in places and the stairs are steep. While this is part of its charm and historicity, it is not suitable for young children or people of reduced mobility. Be particularly careful not to spill any water on the floors in the kitchen and bathrooms - it will go straight through the original 18th century floorboards!
