Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: As most tourists, I was in the area, because Novaci is a great base/starting point to explore the Transalpina and/or the Transfăgărășan routes and all I was hoping for was a place where I could freshen up after a long motorcycle trip and get some rest in clean conditions. I didn't expect much as the town itself is small and quite ordinary without any tourist attractions. From the moment I arrived, all I felt regarding Casuta de pe Ses was a constantly growing amazement and satisfaction with the decision to stay there and not any other place I'd considered while booking. Starting with reaction speed of the owner to my messages before I even arrived, through him being on location and waiting for me when I did, his positive attitude and energy while greeting me and his command of English, style, size and cleanliness of the entire house and my apartment, its spaciousness and the design, especially of the free-standing bathtub like in some luxury hotel, the very large backyard with sun beds, hot tub and the dining area in the back, to the owner's helpfulness in planning my trip and his readiness to assist. His sharp sense of humor and wit didn't go unnoticed. There were bathrobes and slippers waiting for guests in the room that I didn't expect. There were ashtrays on the balcony. It's impossible to mention here everything that I liked. I can only say that it was that particular two-night stay that prompted me to start planning my next year's trip again to Romania, this time with my wife. I'll definitely want to stay at Casuta de pe Ses again for at least two nights although most people spend only one night there. I can also add that the quiet town of Novaci is quite nice and charming, and that there are a few places to choose from when you want to eat something good and/or have a nice drink in pleasant atmosphere.

Negative: I only wished my wife had been there with me so we could make better use of all the facilities ;-)

Summary: Great value money, a refreshing surprise in a place I least expected it, and the best host ever!
