Gaze at the stars, watch the wildlife & relax in this truly private rural haven which is hidden in a valley, surrounded by fields & woods. It's a beautiful hand built 3 bedroom cabin with sociable living area and lakeside decking. If you want to leave this idyll to explore there's lots of quaint local attractions within 30 minutes drive.

The Lake House is set on a private wildlife reserve so it's ideal for nature journalling, photographers and artists, as well as those genuinely looking for splendid isolation. Memories of pond dipping with the children, friends around the table, spotting a kingfisher or gazing at the amazing stars will be treasured.

The Lake House really lets you get away from it all. You'll have your own private paradise yet we are close to many tourist attractions, Exmoor and historic market towns like Tiverton and South Molton.

The spacious cabin has 3 bedrooms: a master with king sized bed and French doors opening onto the decking, a second bedroom with another king and a small children's room with bunk beds. This room is only suitable for children. There is a beautifully bijou bathroom with large shower and environmentally friendly toiletries.

The lake it is not a fishing lake, except for the local otters, and it's unsuitable for wild swimming etc as this can harm the delicate ecosystem. If you enjoy fishing we have a carp fishing lake less than five minutes away (additional costs apply).

We hope children and adults alike will love this unique place and enjoy the opportunity to be surrounded by the magic of nature. We have provided lots of games and wildlife spotting/mini beast hunting activities for children.

As the house is virtually on the lake, parking is just above the house and there is a short walk of approximately 50m along the grass and is slightly sloped. There are 3 steps to the decking and once inside it is all on one level. This glorious hidden gem off the beaten track so the last two miles are down single track lanes and then a private farm track.
