The glen is home to the ruins of the original Balquhidder Kirk, built in 1631, which contains the grave of the legendary outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor, who once roamed these hills. Within the current church, built in 1855, lies the headstone of St. Angus, a 7th-century missionary credited with bringing Christianity to this sacred corner of Scotland.
