The area is famed for its mountain bike routes, including the most spectacular rides of the 7 Stanes. Glentrool is either 20 minutes’ by car or a little warm up bike ride through the forest and heathlands past Ochiltree Loch. The Kirroughtree trails are also within reach via a 30-minute drive and The Southern Upland Way route goes right past Waterside.
Golfers are also very well served, with 30 golf courses throughout the region. Waterside’s location offers the golf enthusiast a great rural escape with great golf just a short journey in multiple directions.
