Privately set within the owners’ 54-acre grounds, 2½ mile drive or just 1 mile by using a footpath from the attractive market town of Diss, with plenty of cafés, inns, local and national shops, supermarkets, sporting and social clubs, including an 18-hole golf course. The town even has mainline railway station, leave the car behind and jump on the train to visit the city of Norwich or to Liverpool Street in central London.
Added for your arrival will be the noticeable little touches to make your stay an extra bit special. The cottage is well equipped and comfortably furnished to offer home from home comforts. It is attached to the owners’ home but retains its independence and privacy. It has a quirky layout; the entrance feeds into a small utility area, whilst steepish stairs lead up to the accommodation, all on first floor level. Step into the living room with its large vaulted ceiling eaves; this room also has a kingsize bed tucked under the eaves with a privacy curtain. There is a further bedroom with 4ft double. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a modern day shower room, complete with toilet and hand basin. Outside is the garden with its own seating area, and there is shared access to 54 acres of parkland and a large fishing pond, so be sure to bring your fishing rod.
Located on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk, the location offers plenty of activities to do and see. Excellent walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching available locally. There are many eateries and delightful market towns and villages to explore. Wonderful sandy beaches, many are uncrowded, can be found along the coastline, including the lovely coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold. Explore Redgrave and Lopham Fen, RSPB Minsmere and Walberswick, just a few of the favourites for nature lovers. Bressingham Steam and gardens is a 9-minute drive, and Wroxham, capital of the Norfolk Broads, is 35 miles. The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds is 19 miles. Shops, pubs, cafés and supermarkets 2½ miles.
